On May 26–28, the International Exhibition Center on Brovarsky Avenue hosted the 24th International Industrial Forum – 2026, the 5th International Exhibition of Security and Safety Systems EXPERT SECURITY 2026, the 23rd International Specialized Exhibition “Protection Technologies/FireTech 2026,” the 9th International Specialized Exhibition ADDIT EXPO 3D – 2026, the 17th International Specialized Exhibition PLAST EXPO UA 2026, and the International Specialized Exhibition Green EnerTech 2026.

V.G. Baryakhtar Institute of Magnetism of the NAS of Ukraine participated in the 5th International Exhibition of Security and Safety Systems EXPERT SECURITY 2026, where it presented a “Security laser device for perimeter monitoring based on ground and structural element vibrations,” which is a means of detecting unauthorized movement of people, animals, or mechanical devices inside and outside the perimeter of the protected zone.
Its specifications:
- detection range up to 100 m;
- transverse displacement detection range of approximately 10 mm;
- measurement accuracy of ~1–10 μm.
Patented in Ukraine under No. 78414 “Device for Remote Monitoring of Deflection in Buildings and Their Structures” and No. 78411 “Remote Sensor for Transverse Vibrations of Objects.”

Our Institute was also represented at the Green EnerTech 2026 International Trade Fair with a presentation on “Thermoelectric power generation based on the direct conversion of thermal energy into electrical energy.” We propose the development of thermoelectric elements for systems that convert waste heat into electricity using the Seebeck and Nernst thermoelectric effects, as well as the combined action of the Seebeck and Hall effects. The thermoelectric elements utilize amorphous and nanocrystalline materials capable of generating a voltage of 4 V at a temperature difference of 70 K. The thermoelectric elements can be adapted to various forms of waste heat sources.
